An Indian Online Investment Platform raises Rs 151.2 crores in its series-C round

Earlier in the week Scripbox, an Indian based Online investment platform revealed that it raised Rs 151.2 crore in its series-C round of funding led by existing investor Accel Partners.

As per filings with the corporate affairs ministry accessed through business intelligence platform Paper.vc. other participants of the round included NLI Investment Fund and Omidyar Network. 

As per reports, in its previous series-B round held a couple of years ago back in 2016,  Scripbox raised funds through Omidyar Network after it picked up its maiden institutional cheque.

However, the start-up received its initial investment from Venture capital fund Accel. 

When contacted for a comment, the Bengaluru-based firm could not be reached. 

Sources close to the matter have stated that major fintech startups in India have made Mutual fund investment platforms an attractive segment. Additionally, other that well settled players like FundsIndia and India’s largest online-broking platform Zerodha have also made its entry in this sector with its own platform, Coin.
