Euronext reveals plans of buying Oslo stock exchange for $711 mln

Earlier on Monday, Euronext NV made an announcement stating that it plans to provide the necessary assistance to support Oslo Bors VPS Holding’s board of directors in their quest to complete the acquisition of the company which owns the Oslo stock exchange for a reported amount of 625 million euros ($711.4 million). 

As per reports, Euronext, which operates bourses in Amsterdam, London, Brussels, Paris, Dublin and Lisbon revealed that it found Oslo Bors’ position in oil services, seafood derivatives and shipping really attractive. 

Euronext NV further revelaed that Oslo Bors shareholders that represent almost 49.6 percent of outstanding shares have already offered their support to The pan-European exchange operator.
