Earlier in the week, at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES), American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson unveiled its very first electric motorcycle dubbed the “LiveWire”.
As per a report published by Yonhap news agency, it has been a four year collobaration between Harley-Davidson and Samsung SDI for building of the electric motorcycle project targeted at tech-savvy, premium consumers.
The electric motorcycle comprises of lithium-ion cells made by Samsung SDI and runs on a battery pack.
As per sources closely following the matter LiveWire can cover a range of approximately 180 km, reaching from zero to 100 kph in just 3.5 seconds. Also it would be very efficient for new riders as the Electric power requires no gear shifting and no clutch.
